Emotional Peer Critique

I chose to look at Megan Hendershot’s emotion animation for a critique. First, the subtle secondary movements are good and aid to the flow of the piece. The fingers feel believable. Also the textures add a lovely depth.

However, the animation could have benefited from reframing. While we can see the movements, they aren’t as dramatic as they could be. A different angle might have helped with that. Its nearly impossible to read the emotions of the woman’s face. Also, a little bit of ease in with the distressed emotion might have helped. The woman’s emotions seem to flip a little too quickly to be believable.

Overall the piece is strong with subtly, but it could use a little more framing work.
